The #1 issue I see in my massage practice is chronic pain from desk work, and there are far more people working desk jobs than I could ever see individually in my practice - so I made this course. Here's the beta version of it.

Also, the first 22 minutes are available as a preview on YouTube, here! So click the link if you want to take a look first, and decide if this course is right for you.

Topics we will cover include but are not limited to:

  • desk jobs are a poor design decision, incompatible with normal human bodily needs
  • building an inner compass of what your body wants
  • if we wanna be healthy, we need to get used to socially unacceptable movements

I'm exploring options to collect participant comments - but for now, if you have a question, please tweet at me and I'll answer and link it in a thread! I'm at https://twitter.com/relic_radiation

If needed - a financial aid option to access this class is available, at https://elenalakebodywork.gumroad.com/l/FinancialAidDeskJobBodyCareBeta

Bio of me:

Hi, I’m Elena! I’m probably the only bodyworker in the world with a degree from MIT in Math, Computer Science, and Physics. Then after graduating, I spent two years as a machine learning engineer at Meta (then known as Facebook). I learned a lot on that life path - including the heavy toll that stress takes on bodies and spirits. So, I pivoted. Now my second chapter of life is devoted to holistic healing for helping people shed layers of stress and baggage, so they can return to feeling the joy of their authentic lives.

I am trained in Esalen massage, craniosacral (a light-touch, non-massage style of bodywork that’s very relaxing), and visceral manipulation (an organ-centric form of bodywork centered on light micromovements of the fascia). I practice a combination of these approaches that also integrates unique fascial techniques of my own. Overall my work is about 50% mechanical-structural, 50% energetic, and deeply relaxing. I work primarily with the nervous system, and I find that emotional and structural releases and realignments happen naturally downstream of that.
